For the past few months, we have been hearing more and more about artificial intelligence and how AI can revolutionize our ways of working. The tool that has made the most noise is, of course, OpenAI's ChatGPT. ChatGPT is an intelligent assistant that utilizes artificial intelligence. By asking it a question (by crafting a prompt), you can request anything you want, and the tool will respond.
In this article, we will quickly introduce you to 3 Chrome extensions that will enhance the capabilities of ChatGPT (because yes, the tool has its limitations) and thus improve your productivity!
Extension 1: AIPRM for ChatGPT
AIPRM for ChatGPT is an extension that streamlines the process of creating prompts in ChatGPT.
Once the extension is downloaded, your ChatGPT interface changes, adding new features.
You can choose a prompt template based on the topic you wish to explore:
- Copywriting
- DevOps
- SEO
- SaaS
- Marketing
- Etc.
You can also filter templates by industry or directly through the search bar.
After selecting a template, in the search bar (where we write the prompts), we can choose the language of the response (output in), the tone, and the writing style to generate the perfect response. All that’s left is for us to write our prompt based on the provided guidance (for example: [Title for your article]).
You can download the extension on Chrome for free: AIPRM for ChatGPT
This extension is truly powerful because it is community-driven and thus brings together the best prompts to use based on what you are looking for.

Extension 2: WebChatGPT
One limitation of ChatGPT is that its database is limited to information available up to 2021. We cannot access recent information (for instance, which team won the 2023 World Cup?).
With the WebChatGPT extension, we can bypass this limitation. Indeed, the tool allows users to incorporate search results relevant to the topic being discussed directly into their prompts.
After downloading the (free) extension, a new feature bar appears in ChatGPT. We have a toggle button to enable the option for web access. We can also select the number of search results to include, along with the date and the region for the search.
In its response, ChatGPT will take into account the titles and descriptions of these search results to provide relevant answers.
However, it's important to note that ChatGPT will not crawl the search result pages, so its responses are limited to what is present in the searches.
Extension 3: ReaderGPT
ReaderGPT is a Google extension that allows you to summarize the content of a web page using ChatGPT with one click.
After downloading the extension, you can visit a web page and click on the extension from your extension bar. A pop-up will appear in the upper right corner of your web page, and ChatGPT will begin to summarize the content on the page. This is quite effective for avoiding the need to read an entire page and instead focus on the essential information.
Currently, the extension has a few limitations:
- The summary is available only in English
- If the page content is too lengthy, the extension may not generate a summary
There you go, you can now take advantage of these extensions and maximize your productivity while avoiding time loss on repetitive and tedious tasks.
