Key points

The No-Code world is constantly evolving. Every day, new tools and applications hit the market. Do you have a need? There is surely a no-code tool that can meet it. Some well-known low-code and no-code tools already exist in the tech world, such as Webflow, WordPress, Notion, Sendinblue, Typeform, etc. Today, we will explore no-code alternatives to some of these "famous" tools.

Fun Fact: According to Gartner (a renowned American consulting and research firm in the field of advanced technologies), by 2023, more than half of medium and large companies will use (at least) one strategic no-code or low-code platform.

1. Alternative to Integromat and Zapier: n8n

n8n is an alternative to Zapier and Integromat. Like Integromat and Zapier, n8n is an automation tool. It facilitates the automation of processes by connecting various web applications through their APIs. So far, there is nothing particularly different compared to Integromat or Zapier.

The true differentiating factors of n8n compared to its competitors lie in the pricing and the hosting solution. First, n8n is a completely free automation solution. In fact, it is an open-source tool. Moreover, n8n is also a self-hosted solution. This gives you complete control and flexibility over your data. Finally, although the tool is less intuitive than Zapier, you have greater freedom in your automation because you can add code (including JavaScript). Additionally, the tool is easily downloadable on both Windows and Apple platforms.

2. Alternative to Shopify: Medusa

Medusa is an alternative to Shopify. Like Shopify, Medusa is also a platform for developing e-commerce websites. It is an open-source solution designed to facilitate online store development for merchants.

Medusa includes the core functionalities of Shopify (user-friendly interface, optimal order processing, etc.). However, the no-code tool differentiates itself with its flexibility in installation (allowing for better customization), comprehensive multi-regional support (local currency, shipping, and payment options), and fully automated management of exchanges and claims. These are the aspects that Medusa seeks to optimize with this open-source solution.

3. Alternative to Airtable: Baserow

Baserow is an alternative to the Airtable platform. Like Airtable, Baserow is a tool for managing data in advanced spreadsheets. These collaborative platforms allow you to have a database organized to your preferences.

Baserow is also a open-source tool. Thus, anyone can contribute to the evolution of the tool by creating plugins to add new features. The interface is quite similar to Airtable's. Baserow has really focused on speed to provide the best possible experience. The tool offers two completely free plans and a premium plan at $5 per month.

4. Alternative to Figma: Penpot

Penpot is an alternative to the collaborative design tool Figma. Figma is probably one of the best-known tools for creating wireframes or mockups for websites or mobile applications. Penpot is a new solution in the design market.

Penpot is the first open-source no-code collaborative design and prototyping tool. Similarly to the previous tools, it has been built for the community and powered by the community. The goal is to provide the best experience by involving the community in developing new solutions. The tool closely resembles Figma in its interface, with a touch of Webflow. Many templates and plugins are already available to help you get acquainted with the tool.

5. Alternative to Google Analytics: Plausible

Plausible is an alternative to Google Analytics, the website performance tracking tool. Like Google Analytics, Plausible provides analysis reports of your website.

Plausible differentiates itself on two major points compared to Analytics. First, concerning simplicity. Google Analytics can be challenging to grasp. Plausible offers simple and easy-to-understand reports. The second major point is that Plausible respects privacy. The tool does not use cookies and is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR regulations. Moreover, the tool is hosted in the European Union. Plausible is also an open-source solution. Finally, the application promises us a fast interface compared to Google Analytics, which can be slow to load.
