Goals for this launch
I mentioned this in my LinkedIn post, when I was in North America, I was alerted to the use of TikTok as a search engine. A viable alternative to Google or YouTube for searching "How to" content.
But beyond this "simple" usage (which is a highly strategic approach), according to comments from many content creators, TikTok appears to be the most viral platform today for sharing creations.
And at Digidop, we have a very simple method to form our own opinion: TEST!
Testing the video platform
The primary goal of this launch is to test the platform:
- Its algorithm
- Its business impact
- Its search engine functionality
- The virality of a TikTok video
To do this, we will need to create video content that appeals to TikTok users. And this will force us to...
Vary the format of our content
The TikTok audience is likely quite different from the audience of our blog. Therefore, launching on the TikTok platform allows us to diversify the style of content we already produce at Digidop. (blog, YouTube "how to", LinkedIn, etc..)
With a simple goal: to create video content on TikTok that resonates with TikTok users!
This is a new challenge for our creative team.
And as a bonus ..
We can discover synergies between platforms. The aim is to "recycle" existing content by adjusting the format to reach a new audience. "Recycling" content is an effective strategy to disseminate a lot of content very quickly.

1st week on TikTok: the time for assessment
It has officially been 7 days since we created our TikTok account. So, what are our results?
In numbers:
- 0 to 170 followers
- 375 likes
- 6 videos on TikTok
- +10,000 reach
The analysis:
The platform's virality is very real. 95% of our metrics stem from the success of one video (Quentin cracked the algorithm directly).
The content that seems to work best for us, in terms of interactions/likes, is the "lifestyle" content of our remote web agency (everyone works from home, or wherever they wish in the world).
Therefore, we will adopt this strategy for creating video content on Digidop's TikTok account.
