Introduction
FLAW aimed to challenge the norms of the Art world by facilitating the connection between the public and the artworks without compromising its artistic standards. They required a website that was experiential, artistic, and also served as a media platform for various content formats such as podcasts and blogs.
Project Goals
- Amplify FLAW's mission: making Art accessible to everyone
- Showcase FLAW's exhibitions, artists, and achievements
- Create a media outlet for sharing knowledge about Art through various formats such as podcasts and blog articles
- Develop an experiential and artistic website (with the ambition of receiving recognition at the Awwwards.)
Strategy and Solutions
1 — Design with Figma
The brutalist design, reflecting FLAW's unique identity, was meticulously crafted in Figma. The process included multiple iterations and user testing to ensure the design not only represented FLAW's artistic mission but was also intuitive and engaging for site visitors.
2 — Webflow Development
We utilized Webflow to bring our design to life. Thanks to the flexibility of this visual development tool, we were able to implement advanced animations and integrate custom code to provide a truly immersive user experience. Webflow also allowed us to create a SEO-optimized site, easily maintainable by the FLAW team, granting them complete autonomy for future updates and media platform management.
3 — Training
We also trained the FLAW team on how to use their new Webflow site, enabling them to have full autonomy for future updates and media platform management.
Results
- An Artistic Experience: The site reflects FLAW's vision and mission by providing an experiential platform for art.
- Scalability: The site is built to evolve and accommodate new artworks, artists, and content, strengthening FLAW's position as a catalyst in the art field.
- Engagement: The site encourages the public to engage more deeply with the artworks and media presented, offering a rich and interactive experience.
