What is it?
Wondershare PixCut is a background removal software (AI) for images. It allows you to select an object in an image and remove the background around it, effectively making it transparent. This tool is useful for isolating an object from an image and using it in other contexts, such as creating montages or collages.
How does it work?
- Step 1: Upload an image in PNG or JPG format
- Step 2: the artificial intelligence of PixCut automatically handles the background removal of your image by, for instance, detecting people.
- Step 3: export the image with a transparent background
- Step 4: replace it with a background of your choice, be it a solid color, a textured background, a landscape, etc.

Pixcut features an API that has enabled the development of a Figma extension. The use of this plugin is completely free via an API key that can be obtained through the Pixcut interface.
